Do I need a vehicle to drive for EVDT?

You will need to supply your own or an agency vehicle. We highly recommend that you drive the largest vehicle of the size and type that you intend to operate. The course will document what vehicle was driven. The Training Center does not provide vehicles.

Where are the classes located?

We offer classes at both the Delaware County Emergency Services Training Center as well as off campus locations. Consult the web schedule for location, dates, times and costs.

Billing questions

Will you bill my fire company or do I need to pre-pay?

If authorized by your department we will bill them direct.

What if I can not attend the class?

If you or your department registers you for the program and you do not withdraw 48 hours prior to the start of the class the department can substitute another person or be billed for the cost of the program. If the program is listed as free or no charge and you register and do not withdraw 48 hrs prior to the class start date your department will still be billed at the out of county rate.

Are walk-ins permitted?

Walk-ins will be permitted on a space available basis. Some classes may be cancelled due to low enrolment if we do not receive enough pre-registrations, so if you want to attend and be assured that the course will have space available please pre-register.

The class is free but my department still received a bill.

See What if I can not attend the class.

If the reason for the failure to attend is due to a medical emergency, family emergency or other event that requires immediate attention we will consider waiving the charge with proper documentation.
